About Touchstone Paver Campaign
The Gresham Japanese Garden, also known as Tsuru Island (SueDo) is pleased to offer this special commemorative paver to support the maintenance of the Garden and Ebetsu Plaza now and its future. The Gresham Japanese Garden, a non-profit organization re-birthed in 2011 because of dedicated citizens in Gresham averages over 18,000 hours of volunteering a year. See History for details.
Ebetsu Plaza lies in Main City Park at the farthest spot southeast you can walk. Visible and approachable from Springwater Trail, the Gresham-Barlow Youth Baseball diamond, and of course from walking through Main City Park.
The Ebetsu Plaza walkway is 106 feet wide by 12 feet long with the capacity to lay over 3000 pavers. Ebetsu Plaza, named after Ebestu, Japan, Gresham’s sister city is a circular construction with benches from the old bridge surrounded by twelve Akebono Cherry trees. How It Works
Become a Project Partner
The most remarkable part about the Ebetsu Plaza Project is its unique fund raising model and the inclusion of the community partner program. A way for local non-profits to support the construction of Ebetsu Plaza while also raising awareness and funding for their own cause. Partnering means a chance at 20% of the total funds raised by the project. To partner, your only responsibility is to promote the sale of pavers to your supporters.
As a partner, your organization will have its own page on this website. Whenever a paver is purchased through your partner page, 20% of the $100.00 donation fee will go back to your cause.
